Acocks green
Situated just four miles south-east of Birmingham city centre, Acocks Green is one of four wards comprising Yardley formal district. It is a popular residential area and features a recognisable centre, known as “The Green” which is located at the junction between Warwick Road, Shirley and Westley Roads.

Well known shopping destination
The village is a well-known shopping destination and benefits from seven churches, a bowling alley, Fox Hollies Park and its Round Pool lake, a modern bingo hall, seven primary schools and two secondary schools. The area is also served by Acocks Green library which has been in use since 1932.

Acocks Green has great transport links to Birmingham city centre and Solihull which can both be reached within ten minutes via the railway station. Birmingham has access to the M5, M6, M40, and M42 motorways plus Spaghetti Junction and there are regular bus routes to surrounding areas.
